Ha I’ve been meaning to ask you if the DS9 continuation books were worth the time but never mind I guess

Never mind because it's too big a commitment? The ones I've read are pretty good, at least.

Oh, I thought you were saying you hadn’t read any, so you wouldn’t know either way

Oh, so SOMEONE didn't click through to analyze the chart! (Kidding...) I read the first chunk of the "relaunch" series.

Yeah I was being dumb. You talk about the events of some of the DS9 books in your book. Okay, pretty good you say! Much as I loved DS9 I found the finale rather frustrating--leaving Sisko with the prophets and all the other characters just sort of shrugging and packing their bags for their next assignment... I feel like I need a continuation so that's not the end.

The other ones that spark my curiosity for no particular reason are the Riker Titan books

I think I am also starting to realize i need to start checking the monthly kindle books for cheap trek books. I'm just finishing a couple of the TOS novels I got for cheap that way. Also finally read Imzadi, a cover I have been seeing for years but never actually read. Much better than I expected tbh!

Speaking of TOS, do you dabble in the TOS stuff at all? Or mostly TNG/DS9? I'm enjoying the TOS stuff, but they definitely lean hard into all the tropes of 60s romance and adventure, for better or worse.

I only really read the "classic" TOS stuff from the late 70s and early 80s. I haven't really dipped into the more recent stuff.

As for the monthly deals, this is a bad month to start -- the selection for June is terrible!

Yeah, I was just browsing the list, not super inspired but I'll grab at least a couple. Oh well, there's always July.
